If your booking is in central Phan Thiet, ask the car to stop at that address. If it is on the Ham Tien-Mui Ne coast, book the ride through to the property’s vehicle entrance.
Stopping at a general “Phan Thiet” pin can leave you with another transfer and all your luggage still to move.
Use the Ho Chi Minh City–Mui Ne route as the starting point, then check the accommodation confirmation.
The property’s name, street address and entrance pin matter more than the broad destination used in a travel advertisement.
Phan Thiet or direct to Mui Ne
Central Phan Thiet is a useful stop for a city appointment, a stay near Doi Duong or a planned change of transport. Ham Tien, the fishing-village area and Hon Rom are different coastal destinations. A family going to a Ham Tien resort should normally ask for that resort’s gate, not a central-city drop-off.
The article on distance to Mui Ne shows why a small change in the endpoint affects the kilometres quoted for the journey.
Fix the precise pickup point
A downtown hotel, a home address and Tan Son Nhat Airport do not share the same starting road. Send the actual boarding address and, for a flight, the terminal shown on the booking. If several people are joining, put the pickups in travel order rather than sending separate map pins without context.
Reach the correct address and entrance
A beachfront property may have a reception gate on a side street rather than directly on the beach road. Ask the property which entrance a car can use. For a private house, share the nearest lawful stopping point if the lane is too narrow for the booked vehicle.

Choose the right vehicle service scope
Decide whether this is a one-way transfer, a return on another date or a car that stays available for visits. A stop to take a photograph is different from adding an afternoon in central Phan Thiet. Say which you intend before comparing offers.
Build a workable departure plan
Work back from check-in or an appointment, allowing for the city exit, an ordinary break and the last road to the address. A coastal resort farther along the strip needs a different arrival plan from Doi Duong, even if the expressway portion is similar.
Prepare passengers and baggage
Count adults, children, suitcases and any bulky items. A child seat or mobility aid should be mentioned when requesting the car, not at the curb. Leave room for bags without asking passengers to hold them for the whole drive.
Choose a vehicle around people and luggage
A car with enough numbered seats may still have too little luggage space for a resort stay. If the group has several large cases, ask about usable boot space or move up a vehicle class. See private-car booking checks for questions worth settling before booking.
Read the fare with the service scope
Compare a quote for the full journey you need: actual pickup, final entrance, direction, planned stops and any wait. A lower fare to a central Phan Thiet pin is not a saving if the party still needs transport to Ham Tien.
Two journeys that need different briefs
A city meeting followed by a beach stay
Give the central appointment first and the resort second. Ask whether both stops fit one booking and how much time you expect to spend at the meeting.
Direct arrival at a coastal resort
Send the resort’s vehicle entrance and check-in time. There is no reason to insert a city-centre stop just because the map displays the name Phan Thiet.
Plan the destination separately
Do not assume a single drop-off covers later outings to the fishing village, dunes or another beach. If you want the car again, agree on that use separately. Otherwise, arrive at the accommodation, settle in and plan local travel from there.

Confirm the trip before departure
Send one message with the boarding point, exact drop-off gate, passenger and bag count, date and requested stops. A reply using the same addresses is more useful than one that says only “Mui Ne”. Still choosing the service? See the Mui Ne route.
Questions about Phan Thiet and Mui Ne drop-offs
Is central Phan Thiet the same as my Mui Ne resort?
Usually not. Check the property’s actual entrance; Ham Tien and the farther coastal areas should be treated as their own drop-offs.
Can the car stop in the city and continue to the resort?
Ask for both addresses and the intended stop length when booking. The driver can then confirm the full service rather than a city-only transfer.
